OPG's Deep Geologic Repository EIS document to be released in March

It's critical that residents of the Great Lakes Basin who care about the future health of these Lakes read these documents, inform ourselves and our government officials, and speak out against this proposal. This proposed radioactive dump is ostensibly for the so-called "low" and "intermediate" level radioactive wastes from OPG's 20 Ontario reactors. But concerns and questions abound. Why build a dump deep underground, (with an entrance and shaft less than a mile from Lake Huron - an entrance and shaft that are located on a spit that sticks out into Lake Huron.
